Ask me before April of 2006 where I wanted to vacation most and the answer would have been Las Vegas, bar none. No, I don't gamble. Knowing the odds and how the games are skewed has forever tainted me into never gambling in places. I go for the food, the sites, the shows, and the atmosphere.

I can sit for hours in the sports betting areas, watching games on the television and people-watching. Nothing, until April 2006, could beat that for a vacation spot. I keep forgetting swim trunks when I go, though. I'm a tub of lard these days, but swimming I still enjoy. It is one thing I've really not done in Vegas.

Given the chance, I'll go back despite their ruining of Treasure Island (I side with pirates in the pirates vs ninjas thing), and the closing of the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton. However, Italy has replaced Vegas as my top vacation spot.
